Swordz
During the latter half of the eleventh century, knights roamed the land keeping peace and bringing booty home to their liege-lords and most of all, to the church.

Think of the Church Triumphant as a religious substitute for the Roman Empire, holding sway through fear and superstition and, failing that, force of arms, vis-a-vis the Crusades, the British subjugation of Druids, the Spanish Inquisition and others, among an almost endless list of Acts of Faith.

In this atmosphere of fear, superstition, greed and terror, come the Little Nebbish Knights, descendants of the Little People of the Woods, known by humans under various names--elves, gnomes, fairies, sylphs, dryads, and many, many other names.

The Little Nebbish Knights are, indeed, respected and feared in virtually every country in the world, and legends of their derring-do in the cause of peace, justice and freedom are...well, legendary.

More fearless than the most daunting of berserkers, LNKs have been known to hurl themselves upon an enemy's head and whack them to death with their tiny wooden swordz.

And that's one of their nicer traits. These guys don't fool around. They're small, they're built like a truck, and they move like greased lighting when aroused. How can these little guys actually keep the threat of global violence from overflowing? Simple.

Not only are they fierce fighters with swordz--they also happen to be frighteningly powerful magicians, able to leap tall castles in a couple of bounds, to outrun the fastest fully-armored knight, and to shape-shift into something totally horrible or sneakily teeny and deadly.

Armed with powerful magical spells, the Little Nebbish Knights fight continuously against the forces of evil.

And that's the snag.

Naturally, the Bloos are convinced that they are the Righteous and that the Roos are corrupt and demonic Satanic beings.

On the other hand, that's the same exact opinion held by the Roos about them.

It's always been like that, always will be. The War rages on, as it always has....

The triumphs are momentary, the battles a blur, as timeless combat sends the ever-shifting tide of victory from shore to shore.

After a while, as the countless days roll by, the only thing that really counts is the game and the game is the players...
